Taproot Earth
Overview
When Taproot Earth set out to make a documentary video on the urgent issue of climate reparations, they wanted it to resonate on a global stage.
The piece was part of their presentation at the COP29 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, held from November 11 to 22, 2024. The project was an opportunity to elevate the voices of frontline communities from the Global South.
Production
With NewWorld agency providing the footage, graphic design and storyboard and Tangible leading the creative video work, the team approached the project with clarity: the story had to be compelling, accessible, and emotionally resonant for an international audience.
We combined striking visuals, dynamic graphic design, and grounded editorial pacing to create a short documentary that carried both urgency and weight. The edit aimed to balance clarity with impact, making sure every cut served the story, the communities, and the moment.
The result was a powerful piece that not only stood out during COP29, but also became a key tool in Taproot Earth’s ongoing advocacy for climate justice.
